General description of the position:

• The required position seeks to provide a permanent support to the Delegation towards the implementation of the security sector cooperation- portfolio of the MIP.
• This includes the current bilateral portfolio, the regional cooperation programs and upcoming actions within the security field, including the exploration of investment possibilities for Internationals Financial Institutions in line with the Global Gateway and the Team Europe Initiative on Justice and Security for Latin America

Qualifications and skills required:

• University degree in social sciences, political sciences, economics or a relevant directly related discipline, or relevant equivalent professional experience.
• Basic knowledge on Ecuadorian public policies in the security sector
• Basic knowledge on Ecuadorian institutions, private sector, academia and civil society organizations.
• Very good facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills required.

General professional experience:

• Professional experience of at least two years and/or equivalent specialized training in activities related to security, citizen security, terrorism, intelligence, environmental crimes, justice sector, money laundering, and other aspects related to criminal activities of transnational crime organizations.

Specific professional experience:

• Capacity for administrative management and excellent interpersonal communications skills.
• Capacity to monitor activities throughout the national territory.

Language skills:

Excellent command of Spanish, very good command of English (working language Spanish)

Number of working days: 268 days

Additional information:

• Upon request, the expert should be able to provide analytical support to the Delegation on the topics related to security, citizen security, terrorism, intelligence, environmental crimes, justice sector, money laundering, and other aspects related to criminal activities of transnational crime organizations.
• The position is designed as a "part-time position". However, there will be weeks of high demand that will require more time, which will be informed in advance.
