Level of education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, ecology or a related field. Relevant certifications, such as Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), Registered Environmental Manager (REM), or similar credentials, can enhance the credibility of the Environmental Specialist.
General areas of expertise and year working experience: A minimum of 10 years practical experience in environmental management, impact assessment, or a related field is crucial. Relevant work experience may include employment in environmental consulting firms, government agencies, or industry.
Key specialisms: Specialized training or certifications related to environmental impact assessment (EIA), environmental management systems (EMS), or specific environmental regulations.
Candidate should have at least 5 years of experience with transport development activities: this includes policy, infrastructure, financing and technology aspect. A strong understanding of national, and international environmental laws and regulations is essential.
Proficiency in using environmental modelling tools, Geographic Information System (GIS) software, and other relevant technical tools
Ability to work in English language: it is mandatory for candidates to be fluent in the English language with excellent analytical and communication skills.
