Biodiversity Specialist – 2/ Lot 3 - Consultancy Services for a firm to undertake training needs assessment in 3 sectors; Identification & selection of beneficiaries; Course Design; Development of Training Curriculum and Manuals; Deliver Capacity Building Training including Entrepreneurship, Value chain enhancement, Finance Linkage, etc. and Provide Business Development Services in Ghana
Requested Profile
• Master’s degree in Ecology, Conservation Biology, Environmental Science or a
related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in biodiversity conservation, natural resource
management or environmental management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of biodiversity issues, conservation strategies, and
relevant frameworks.
• Understanding of the interconnections between biodiversity, ecosystem services,
and economic development, especially in relation to agriculture, agroforestry, and fisheries.
• Proven ability to conduct research studies or assessments in biodiversity
ecosystems, or conservation practices and evaluate the impacts of development
projects on ecosystems and species.
• Hands-on experience in biodiversity assessment, field surveys, and ecological
monitoring.
• Strong understanding of entrepreneurship principles and business development.
• Experience in delivering training programs focused on entrepreneurship and business
development for MSMEs, with a focus on women, PWDs and youth-led enterprises.
• Experience in engaging with communities to promote biodiversity conservation and sustainable practices.
