General description of the position: The expert will be responsible for the overall planning, management and implementation of the mission and for the timeliness and consistency of expected outputs (production and presentation of the reports). S/he will have the overall responsibility for ensuring that all reports and documents produced on the contract are appropriate, consistent and of quality.

• Qualifications and skills required: o Good knowledge of EU programming procedures for cooperation projects o Sound knowledge of the Zambian civil society landscape o Master in using Microsoft programmes, internet, social media o Training in coaching/
training people.

• Specific professional experience: - At least 7 years of relevant work experience in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of civil society projects/ programmes (minimum requirement) - Proven experience in civil society capacity building programmes as a Team Leader or Deputy Team Leader or any equivalent managing post - Conversant with conversations around ESG standards and infrastructure
led investments - Proven experience in providing/conducting EU contract/financial procedures trainings and or development of CSOs (in the absence of this criterion, applicant should demonstrate experience with other donor-funded projects) - Familiarity
with civil society - Successful experience in the formulation or implementation of
cooperation programmes funded by international donors or international financial
institutions - Field experience in working in Sub-Saharan and/or Southern Africa, whilst
experience in Zambia will be an asset.
• Language skills: o Full working knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
