Key Expert III / Implementation of the CSO Road Map (2026-2028)

General description of the position: The role involves providing high-level expertise
in designing, implementing, and monitoring interventions that strengthen civil
society organisations (CSOs), enhance their advocacy capacities, and foster inclusive
participation in policy dialogues.
• Expert category: Home Based - Cat. III (>3 years of experience)
Qualifications and skills required: • At least University bachelor’s degree in development
studies, Political Science, Law, International Relations, Sociology, Economics and/or in
a relevant field.
• General professional experience: • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in
the Development sector, with evidence of cooperation with civil society (minimum
requirement).
• Specific professional experience: - At least 3 years’ experience in organisation of highlevel
events and meetings - Experience with communications and visibility projects -
Familiarity and experience with donor funded projects including civil society grants -
Field experience in working in Sub-Saharan and/or Southern Africa, whilst experience
in Zambia will be an asset - Fluent in at least two Zambian local languages (especially
those spoken in Copperbelt and North-Western Provinces).
• Language skills: o Full working knowledge of English o Excellent report writing skills
in the English language o Fluent in at least two Zambian local languages.
• Number of working days: 120 days
