Mandatory Requirements (must have):
• The M & E Officer should hold a minimum of a post-graduate degree in the field of business,
economics, finance, International Development, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in providing M&E advisory services, with hands-on experience
in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
• Substantive knowledge of at least 6 years of experience in development issues and general
knowledge of private sector development.
Other requirements (add on/ desired/ add advantage):
• Strong track-record of engagement with businesses and knowledge of business dynamics
• Experience in the preparation of milestone verification reports and experience in monitoring
complex investment projects.
• Experience in collecting meaningful data from projects in the investment portfolio.
• Ability to prepare progress reports, and support knowledge management and learning.
• Understanding of private sector dynamics in Malawi or other similar countries and grant finance
mechanisms.
• To a minimum, one out of three officers to have an accounting background
