Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist:

Qualifications and skills required:

·      University degree in Law, Political Science, or other related social science disciplines.

·      Strong local expertise on issues relating to electoral reform, democratic governance and/or related areas in Nigeria.

·      At least 5 years' experience in evaluating large development projects.

General professional experience:

·      Minimum 6 years of professional experience on project management/design/implementation of civil society, governance, democracy, and/or related, programmes in a developing country context.

·      Familiarity with the Nigerian electoral act.

·      Experience with working with civil society groups is an asset;

·      At least 2 years' experience engaging with the Nigerian National Assembly.

·      At least 2 years' experience in the planning and management of the voter registration or IT component of an electronic voter registration exercise or equivalent operation in complex political environments.

·      Knowledge/Experience West Africa or similar countries is an advantage.
