Key Expert 1(Team Leader):
• General description of the position: The team leader shall be the main counterpart for
the contracting authority and responsible for the deliverables of the contract and their
quality. The expert will provide guidance, plan, supervise and coordinate the work and
deliverables of the contract, being directly responsible for the coordination and timely
delivery. The starting date for the mobilisation of the expert will be determined by the
Commission electronically via administrative notice. Overall coordination, management
and resource mobilisation, and reporting.
• Expert category: Cat. II (>6 years of experience)
• Qualifications and skills required: University degree (Master level) in social or political
sciences, economics, business administration, or a relevant discipline related to the field
of human development.
• General professional experience: At least 6 years of professional experience in external
cooperation. Relevant work experience in Latin America and the Caribbean is required.
Previous experience in developing countries is an asset. General understanding of EU
external cooperation is an advantage.
• Specific professional experience: At least 4 years of professional experience related to
human development, social investments, social cohesion, gender equality and/or fight
against inequalities. Experience managing consultancy work in the sector.
• Language skills: Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish is a requirement;
knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is considered an advantage.
• Number of working days: 300 days
