Non-Key Expert 2 (Various Experts):
• General description of the position: Implementation of short-term support to activities
• Expert category: Cat. III (>3 years of experience)
• Qualifications and skills required: University degree (Master level) in social or political
sciences, health, education, economics, business administration, or a relevant discipline
related to the field of human development.
• General professional experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in external
cooperation. Relevant work experience in Latin America and the Caribbean will be
normally required. Previous experience in developing countries is an asset. General
understanding of EU external cooperation is an advantage.
• Specific professional experience: At least 3 years of professional experience related
to human development, social investments, health, education, social cohesion, gender
equality and/or fight against inequalities. Experience managing consultancy work in the
sector.
• Language skills: Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish is a requirement;
knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is considered an advantage and may be necessary
for example when Brazil is concerned.
• Number of working days: 300 days
• Additional information: The experts must be equipped with IT and telecom systems that
allow them to communicate with the Commission services in a timely manner, and that
are compatible with the ones used by Commission services.
