Expert - Civil Society :
• General description of the position:
• Expert category: Home Based - Cat. II (>6 years of experience)
• Qualifications and skills required: ● Completed university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma/degree in civil society, social research, or social studies or another relevant field (minimum requirement). ● An advanced university degree (Masters) or equivalent in in civil society, social research, or social studies or another relevant field (preferred).
• General professional experience: Minimum 6 years’ experience in the field of civil society, or social research, or stakeholders’ engagement/consultations.
• Specific professional experience: ● Has conducted at least 2 national consultations with stakeholders including aspects of data collection (minimum requirement). ● Has helped organized at two national civil society networks events in Africa (minimum requirement), preferably in East Africa (preferred).
• Language skills: ● The expert must have written and spoken English to C1 level as per the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). https:// europass.cedefop.europa.eu/en/resources/european- language-levels- cefr (minimum requirement). • Knowledge of Kiswahili is considered an advantage (preferred).
