o Overall implementation of capacity development and value addition enhancement
programme and fulfilling of reporting requirements.
o Support SMEs upgrading to become reliable suppliers/partners to large companies.
o Ensure that all activity reporting requirements are met.
o Share experience with IIA on the progress of the programme and its success.
o Oversee work of the consultants/experts responsible for capacity development and
value addition training.
o Coordinate the team’s efforts and maintain communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications
o A master’s degree or higher in business administration, management,
entrepreneurship, economics, agricultural economics, economic development or a
related field.
o Experience in delivering training programs focused on entrepreneurship and business
development for MSMEs, with a focus on women and youth-led enterprises.
o A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in capacity development, value
chain enhancement and institutional development, particularly in selected sectors.
o Proven leadership, analytical and communication skills as well as ability to
demonstrate attention to details.
o Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
o Experience with working in a multidisciplinary environment, with technical experts
and in SME upgrading related activities.
